Join us at our 7 Souvenirs of August: The Socialiser event on Saturday 30 August!
Even if you're not into souvenir collecting, like some tyreless cachers, we would love to have you attend!
THE DETAILS
Time: 11:00am til 2:00pm - or as late as people stay! We'll likely arrive before 11:00.
Date: Saturday 30 August 2014
Place: Dampier's Clearing*, Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, 420 Mona Vale Road, St Ives (download map)
*Dampier's Clearing is one of three picnic areas in the garden. If by chance it is busy that day, we will move the event to one of the other picnic areas and will make an announcement to advise everyone of the change.
What: BYO picnic lunch and mingle with other cachers. While you're there, you may also want to take a stroll along one of the many walking tracks in the garden. There are even a few caches to be found!
Available Facilities:
- Under shelter table and chairs for 24 people
- Additional outdoor picnic seating for 16 people
- Disabled access
- BBQ facilities
- Public Toilets
Parking: General entry to the garden, including parking, is free. There are 10 spaces near Dampier's Clearing. If these are already taken, more parking is available at the Education Centre, less than 500m from the clearing.
WHAT YOU MAY WANT TO BRING
- Lunch, drinks and snacks, if desired
- Your GPS or phone if you want to find any caches
- Picnic blanket and/or chairs, just in case
- Trackables for discovering and/or swapping
RAINY DAY PLAN
In case of inclement weather - the event will go on! Unless of course it's extemely inclement. In any case, we'll make an announcement that morning if there are any last minute changes.
This is a family-friendly event. We hope to see you there!
Please Note:
Although the geomoose and Signal will be in attendance, we regret to say that all geodogs and cats are permanently banned from the garden.
