Geocache Description:

This should be an easy find.

This cache container was taken from another geocache; “Digger9 Monopoly Cache Series – Go.” (GC1E7VN) There is a completely ready-to-go cache for every spot on the Monopoly Board in that geocache. I took this container from the "Go" geocache on July 20, 2008.

I like to play Monopoly with my family, and my favorite property to own is Pacific Ave. I like the expensive location on the board, and it seems to be landed on frequently. The green set of properties is also my favorite to own and build on.

This is should be a very easy find. It is located in the parking area of the trailhead.

I placed the cache in this area to remind people that there is still a need to help displaced people who were flooded out of their homes. Please remember that geocaching can continue to be a good distraction from helping others in their recovery. This is one of the areas of the city that was flooded, but has not received the attention that other areas have. All four quadrants of the city were affected, and this is a portion of the SE side that was flooded. At the time this geocache was placed, the trail was still closed five weeks after the record flood, and the homes across the street are vacated. Many of these homes have a red sticker on the front door, meaning the structures might be razed. Note the flood line on the trailhead sign. I estimate it to be about 7.5 feet.

Permission to place this cache in this location was given by the Cedar Rapids Parks Department.
