Welcome to Walburg, Texas! In 1882, Hy Doering opened a mercantile in this building which is now home to the Walburg German Restaurant and Biergarten. This place is one of my favorite places in Texas that features Texas history, music, food and fun! What better place to celebrate?! If you've never been, you simply must visit.

There's food available in both the restaurant (where it's air conditioned) or in the biergarten, where there are beautiful live oaks, a huge tent that houses dozens of picnic tables, the bandstand and dance floor. We'll be back in the biergarten!!! (So don't forget your polka shoes!)
