Ashley Green Walkabout is a series of thirteen caches along a
walk, about 3.7 miles long, which starts in the Buckinghamshire
village of Ashley Green, crosses into Hertfordshire near
Berkhamsted, and then re-crosses back into Buckinghamshire to
finish. The terrain is hilly, but the footpaths are well defined
and navigation is easy. Good parking is available in Ashley Green
(see additional waypoint on cache 1) and cachers may be pleased to
learn that there is a nice village pub awaiting them at the end of
the trail.
Continuing along from the footpath, take a right down the tarmac
road. You are looking for a tupperware box hidden not far from the
sign shown on the cache page, just into the treeline. Look out for
muggles! After the cache, continue down the hill towards the next
cache.
You may like a side trip between this cache and number 7 to go
and do the nearby
Tunnel of Love. If you do, the best route is to cross the A41
bridge to the left and then take the footpath on the right, which
runs parallel to the road, along to the tunnel. Return to the
circuit by following the footpath down the hill, looping round to
the right and rejoining the footpath by Bottom Farm.
