This is a simple meet and greet where we get together and talk geocaching.
Please feel free to bring travel bugs and geocoins for swapping and discovery.
New cachers are especially welcome to join us. We will be holding several "Ice Breaker Games"
Stuck on a particular puzzle cache, or need a bit of advice on that 5/5 cache??? Please feel free to pick the minds of the seasoned veterans in the area who are full of great tips and hints on geocaching!
We will be holding door prizes that will include Travel Bugs, and cache containers, and fun other surprises. If you would like to help donate door prizes please let us know.
Ice Breaker games include: Wherigo cache (ready to commemorate the first annual meet and greet) GeoBingo to help you mingle, Ammo-can Game, GPS Accuracy Challenge, and Russian Cache Time Challenge.(winners of the games, plus other drawings will receive a prize)
There are two different (age appropriate) playgrounds right next to the pavilion (less than 50 feet away) for kids to be close and still have fun, and also every child (12 and under) will be given a special prize for attending.
Due the overwhelming response of people wanting to attend, make sure to bring a lawn chair(as seating is first come first serve), and though refreshments and snacks will be provided, supplies are limited.
