The hill of Pasolanvuori is located near highway 24, a little south of Vääksy in the Asikkala commune. It is a small forested hill which rises some 50 metres above the lake Vesijärvi, offering a beautiful view over the lake.
There used to be a nice guided nature trail leading to the top, but then money started talking, and a golf course was built around the hill. Fortunately the hill itself was preserved and the trail is still there, although most of the signposts have been removed or destroyed and the start of the trail is "hidden" behind the golf club.
The beginning of the trail can be found at coordinates 61° 09.545' and 025° 34.492'. You can park your car at the parking place of the golf club. The length of the trail is some 500 metres and there are duckboards and differences in elevation, so hiking boots are recommended.
At the top of the hill, there's a lean-to with the possibility to make a campfire, firewood included. There's a sign, however, saying that fires are not allowed during summertime. I've tried to make the cache winter proof, so you should really visit this cache during wintertime and bring some sausage with you. In the winter, there are often extraordinarily beautiful ice formations near the trail.
You should exercise caution in the winter and during rain, because the edge of the cliff near the top is rather steep and can be dangerous when slippery. Keep your dogs on a leash and keep an eye on your children!
The cache contains: log book, box of matches (for lighting your campfire), pencil and sharpener and some trade objects.

Pasolanvuori löytyy läheltä valtatietä 24 hiukan Vääksystä etelään, Asikkalan kunnassa. Se on pieni metsäinen kukkula jonka huippu on noin 50 metrin korkeudella läheisen Vesijärven pinnasta ja sieltä on mukava näköala järvelle.
Huipulle vei ennen opastettu luontopolku, mutta sitten raha pantiin puhumaan ja vuoren ympärille rakennettiin täysimittainen golfkenttä. Onneksi itse vuori sentään sai jäädä entiselleen ja luontopolku on edelleen paikallaan, vaikka suurin osa polun opastetauluista onkin poistettu tai rikottu. Luontopolun alkukin on jäänyt vähän "piiloon" kentän klubirakennuksen taakse.
Polun alku löytyy koordinaateista 61° 09.545' ja 025° 34.492'. Auton voi jättää huoletta golfkentän parkkipaikalle. Polun pituus on noin 500 metriä ja se pitää sisällään jonkunverran korkeuseroja ja pitkospuita, joten hyvät vaelluskengät kannattaa laittaa jalkaan.
Vuoren huipulla on laavu, jossa on mahdollisuus nuotion tekoon - myös polttopuita löytyy. Laavulla on kuitenkin kyltti, jossa kielletään tulen teko kesäaikaan. Olen yrittänyt tehdä kätköstä myös talvella löydettävän, joten tänne kannattaa tulla talvella ja ottaa makkarat mukaan. Polun varrella on usein talvisaikaan erikoisen kauniita jäämuodostelmia.
Talvella ja sateella kannattaa olla huipulla varovainen, koska lähellä on jyrkkä rinne, joka on liukkaana vaarallinen. Pidä koirat kytkettyinä ja vahdi lapsia.
Kätkö sisältää: logikirjan, tulitikut (nuotion tekoon), terottimen ja kynän sekä pientä vaihtotavaraa.
