Nostalgic tableau #2: Lake Emily
In Wisconsin, United States
How Geocaching Works
Silver duck tape container. You can park at power station just East of ground zero or there are a few driveways used by farmers
This cache was placed so if you look south into the field, you can see a grouping of trees surrounding a beautiful crystal clear pond. For years I would drive past it, seeing the water glitter in the sun and wonder why it was there. One day my curiousity got the better of me and I trecked across the field to the area and found a little piece of heaven. The pond was surounded by beautiful green grass that had been freshly cut and the pond was surounded by river rock that followed the edge of the pond in a crisp line. The trees were trimmed a nicely taken care of. At the adge of the pond was a sign that said "Lake Emily". As I walked around I saw that there was a grass path leading back to a house to the East and as I started to walk down the path it was then I noticed the no trespassing sign. I quickly left then and found my way to the house that the path had led to, but as I walked by the people there looked guarded and upset so I was too afraid to ask about the pond. And to this day Lake Emily still remains a mystery to me. But every time I drive by I am still enchanted by its glittering waters.
