Goat Island is a small island in Lake Berryessa. To reach this
cache, you will need a boat or else be a very good swimmer. If you
do decide to swim, it is about 0.7 miles from the nearest picnic
area. We placed this cache immediately after the 2002 Lake
Berryessa Open Water Swim. fizzymagic swam out to the island, and
jimswim swam back, while the other paddled a kayak(to keep the
cache dry!) We have a special reward for the first person to find
this cache by swimming all the way out to it. Email me with
evidence that you did so!
Many thanks to Tam Nulti2003, who replaced the original ammo can
with a decon container. It's higher up now!
Please do not leave trackable items,
including coins and travel bugs, in this cache. If you do, they
will be marked as missing as soon as I see them. This cache does
not receive frequent visits and is a poor place for trackable
items.
