You have all heard of "T" in the Park, well this is "C" in the Park, and what does C stand for?
C = Christmas of course!!!
Yes we are going to have a Christmas Event in Herrington Country Park in June .... it's not new a few teams darn Sarf have been doing this for a while, so I thought "Let's try that"
We would like to ask every who attends to wear a Christmas related item if possible, a Santa hat, or tinsel, socks, tie, earrings ect to keep in with the theme of the event.
Our events have been swapped around this year we normally have the "Ducks" in June and the "Teddies" in September, this year we will be having a Christmas Event in June and the "Ducks" later in the year.
The event will be held at
Herrington Country Park,
Sunderland,
A183 Shiney Row to Sunderland road
The park is opposite to Penshaw Monument
on Saturday 2nd June 2012,
from 1pm - 5pm (having our picnic about 3pm)
This year we will be having a Christmas themed tombola, with all profits going to another "C" word I am not allowed to mention (read my log below for more details).
We will also be having a Christmas Themed Treasure Hunt, this will be a 2 mile walk within the park, and it will be £1.00 per team to enter.
If you would like to join in with the Christmas Themed Treasure Hunt please let me know on you attendance log so I have enough maps.
We have also decided to do a Secret Santa bring a long a wrapped gift to the value of about £1.00 put it on the table and take a different one home with you at the end of the day. (We decided £1.00 per present so each member of the teams that would like play get a present each rather than just one present per team, so teams of 2 bring and take 2 presents, teams of 4 bring and take 4 presents.ect)
As usual we would like to ask each team attending to bring along something savoury and something sweet to put on the tables for everyone to share.
If you have an special dietary needs please feel free to bring along your own picnic.
Please remember to bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
A few new caches may be set in the area for the event depending on time and what places are left after I chat with the Rangers.
The idea of this event is to just chill out and have a chat and something to eat and drink, and maybe swap a few geocaching tales and TBs
The park has ponds, lots of open grassed space and plenty of room for kids and dogs to run around, a play area and toilets ect.....newbies, oldbies, kids and dogs are all welcome.
Let's pray for sunshine, and I hope to see you all at Us 4 and Jess's first ever "C" in the Park Event.

Plus hopefully new caches which will be released on the day!!
