Geocache Description:

This is the second in the Jersey Devil’s Triangle series of caches. Myths and legends of the Jersey Devil abound. Though there have been many reported sightings over the years, no one is really certain exactly where he can be found. It is believed by some that certain areas in the pines can experience strange and unexplained phenomena. The caches in this series form a large triangle, and it’s inside of that triangle some of the strangest events in pines have been known to take place. Compasses and other navigation equipment can suddenly take on a mind of their own leaving the user to wander aimlessly without guidance. People will sometimes travel into the triangle and simply vanish off the face of the earth, only to re-emerge several hours later at some other location, the victims having no memory of time passing and no idea how they got to where they are. Some people believe the Jersey Devil himself is behind these sinister events. Others believe the force causing these events is what brought the Jersey Devil into being, thereby making him the triangle’s first and most famous victim.

The area of the pines where this triangle sits is very unique. Its features look out of place for the area. Who made these features and why? Was it the Jersey Devil or someone else?

This cache is a small container with a logbook, pencil and a few small trade items. It is camouflaged with authentic NJ camo material to make it blend into its surroundings No bush whacking required. Please re-hide as found. It could be 2WD accessible if you’re careful and you know your vehicle but there is some sugar sand on the way so 4WD would be recommended. As always in the pines, wear blaze orange in season be aware of where you step.
