Cache near parking area along trail. Great cache to take the kids to.
This is a fun hide maintained by the wildland firefighters of Morgan County. It is an easy to get to ammo box cache at the beginning of a 3/5 mile hiking trail around the Tennessee Division of Forestry office. Maps of the trail and several points of interest are included in cache and the tour is educational and quite enjoyable. This short hike is one of a number of trails in the Lone Mountain State Forest trail system available for hiking, cycling and horseback riding. If the gate at the office is closed (nights and weekends) it is o.k. to park at the forest's parking lot right across the street and walk over.
