Leap with Joy!!
This is your opportunity to gather with friends and get a smiley on that elusive Feb 29 Date.
WHAT: Happy Leap Year Galena Joe's II
WHEN: Monday February 29
TIME: 5pm to 8 p.m.
WHERE: The Grant Room at Happy Joe's Pizza and Ice Cream.
9919 W US-20, Galena, IL
I gave the event a 3 hour window because some will need to come early and leave early because they have to work early the next day. Others may not get off work till after 5. They will be able to show up later and the event will still be going on. Happy Joe's doesn't close till 9 pm so we won't be thrown out at 8 if anyone wants to hang out longer. I reserved the room starting at 4 pm and plan to be there by 4:30. So anyone that needs an early exit is welcome to come help set up and sign the log sheet right away.
Food is available. Each cacher is responsible for their own meals. You are not required to eat. They specialize in pizza, sandwiches and baked pasta. Monday is Family Night.
Please make a "will attend" log so we can get a head count for the restaurant. After attending make sure you log an "attended log" to get your smiley for this special day.
(I will have another Leap Year Event in 4 years in case you miss this one.)
Again everyone is welcome to come and visit with other cachers of the area and put some faces to names we see in the logs.
If the weather cooperates come early and hunt some of the Galena caches. Most Galena caches are Winter Friendly.
I hope to place a couple new ones but Galena is running out of space. There are now 57 active Galena caches.
There will be a Log In table at the entrance to the Grant Room.
