Talk about a dream world for a kid with a dirt bike! Get a load of this place! One of my students that lives nearby led me here. Why didn’t they make things like this when I was a kid? I might take a chance on some of them thar hills myself. I have already planned what I’m going to say to my wife and boss….errr, the other boss, if I should crash. “I know I’m 53 years old but…but....but...
[By the way, I have since run these hills on my bike. The story is posted in the description of my "Are We There Yet" cache.]
Take a look up at the big locust trees! There are more here than anywhere else I’ve ever seen. They must have been planted. Quite a neat ruins here too. Fishing can be good in Snag Creek next door. It’s stocked with striped bass. I heard the birds singing in great numbers, at least around 4 - 5 PM anyway.
My choice of the name Kiss’n Cousins will be self-evident once you get a look at the two locust trees nearest the cache. I’ve never seen such unique bark on the one. Neato! Please make sure to re-cover the film can when you leave. Be careful not to make yourself too obvious to any bike riders in the area.
Enter by way of Cottage Row Road. The parking area is where the red dot is here. We don’t want to cut across private property. Besides, you would then miss the bike hills.
Twist the can out of and into its holder by turning it clockwise. Also be careful, not to break any bark.
