Once upon a
time...
...a
llmost 5000 years ago, the stoneage-children Lark, Swallow and
Eagle lived on the fortified knoll Rispebjerg near Øle Å at
Bornholm. It was about 2900 years b.C.
The three became by chance Bornholm's first geocachers! and you can
now experience, how this happened.
Turn on your
imagination!!
WP
1. Park at
N 55° 01.555 E 15° 00.677
WP
2. Go to
“the outer gate” at N 55° 01.593 E 15° 00.772 and read the info
about Stenalderen.
While you are reading the landscape changes before your eyes, and
you are now on a stoneage settlement with a lot of
palisades.
(se fotos)
The
settlement as established at the same time the Pyramides i Egypt
were build. About 5000 years ago!!!
The
gatekeeper asks you a question:
Q#1: ”How
many meters above sealevel are you now?”
If you
think you are standing 12 m above sealevel, is A=1 and B=6.
If you are standing 42 m above sealevel is A=6 and
B=3,
and if you are standing 92 m above sealevel is A=8 and B=7.
WP 3. You meet
some children at N 55° 01.AB5 E15°00.713. Their names are Lark,
Swallow and Eagle, and they tell you, that they think some hostile
ships are on their way to the settlement.
Q#2: If some
foreign ships were sailing in the Baltic Sea, would you be able to
see them from here?
IF yes:
S=4 og T=8,
if no: S=8 og T=4.
WP 4. You and
the stoneage-children run together to Larks father at the gate in
the earthwork at N 55.01.6S2 E 15.00.5T7. Larks father tells you to
run to the high-priest Thyr and tell him about the ships, and you
run immidiatly 103 meters in the direction 165 degrees to the
”Woodhenge”, where you find the wise, but blind priest
Thyr.
WP 5.
Thyr askes you to help him to hide the treasure of the settlement.
Swallow suggests to hide it in the big oak.
Eagle
suggests to hide it under the stone on the earthwork. ” I suggest
that we use our old hidingplace,” Lark says.
Thyr
thinks, that the friend from the future (You off cource!) have to
find some letter-values, which have to be used as encryption-table
to the hidingplace.
Stand in
the center of the “Woodhenge” (the 10 big tree trunks) and make a
GPS-reading (= the average of minimum 3 readings)
Lark
listens to the many foreign words, but more will come
:o)
The
results of the readings have to be “translated” to the schedule
below.
N 55.0x.yzz E
15.00.pxp
<= This is your average of 3
readings
x=___; y=___; z=___; p=___;
<= This is the encryption (=translated)
letter-values
”Now we
are ready,” Thyr says, ”we will use the suggestion of Lark, but I
don’t know, if we can get there before THEY come.”
WP
6. ”Dont
reveal the coords and hide the encryption-table. Try immediately if
you can get to the hidingplace without getting wet shoes
at N 55° 0x.p70 E 15° 00.y4x. before the
enemy comes!
“Watch
out!
There is no way back if you are missing the wade across the river!”
Thyr admonishes.
”Thyr speaks in tounges and spreads strange words around!
Can he
have consumed poisionous steam?” Lark, Swallow and Eagle
think.
Far away
on the sea the ships already are leaving the coast. This only Thyr
had sensed, but he doesn’t tell the children. “Take care children,
and slip away” was the last thing, they heard before they run
away.
As the
children were disappeared, Thyr turned around to you and said: “If
you, futureman, find a plasticbox (=cachen) in the half altitude of
the Intrancetowers altitude, then report it on the cachesite on the
internet" foreig> .
