The paved parking lot for Wincopin Access trail parking, off
Vollmerhausen Road (N39 08.995, W76 50.060), is the designated
parkentry point for this cache.
Note: Park regulations prohibit entering the park from
any other point.(such as the truck stop off I-95)
Refer to the Wincopin Neck map on the kiosk.
At the cache coordinates, find a large, squared, flat-topped
rock in an open area near the river. From the rock, the cache
is:
-exactly 100'9" on a magnetic compass heading of 8
degrees-
approach the cache from the river side.
The cache is in a 6"X8" cylindrical, clear Rubbermaid
containerin a partially filled, natural cavity, under a flat
rock.
Log it, exchange, reseal the cache, and replace the rock.
Take the other leg of the trail back to the parking lot, or hike
one of the other well marked trails in the park. The park is rich
in large, 150-year-old Tulip Poplar, Maple, Black Oak, and American
Beech trees, white tail deer, beavers, pileatedwoodpeckers, blue
cranes, foxes, grey and black squirrels, snapping turtles, and a
variety of other animal life. Good luck.
