Geocache Description:

An easy cache near a popular camping area within 15 kilometers of Fort Steele. Ideal to introduce the sport to children and youth.

This cache was named "Bucksaw" in memory of a memorable weekend camp where my lumberjack boys, without their chainsaws, had to use a bucksaw to cut firewood. Much fun and hilarity ensued.

Located on a pretty, small lake, ideal for canoes, kayaks, children and fishermen, this first cache hidden was used as a test for inexperienced family members. They were able to find the cache without difficulty, usually within 10 meters.

Park at one of the campsites on either side of the lake.

Look for a small plastic container with a snap lid.
The site was moved by geocachers about twenty five metres to save it from high water. You may still find remnants of the original.
