The cache is located about .85 miles down the Ice Age Trail. There is a parking lot for the Ice Age Trail on CC about 2 miles outside of Cornell. The land along it is privately owned.
**THE TRAIL IS CLEARLY MARKED WITH YELLOW PAINT--all you need to do is follow it to the cache site.
Once you get to where the trail joins the big field you will have to climb over the bench to continue (not very difficult unless maybe you are in snowshoes). There is a gate there, but at this time, there is a padlock on it. The trail takes you through woods and field. The owner of the field, Harley T., told me that way back in the past, there was a lake there. He suggested the location for this cache and gave me permission to hide it there. I told him that we geocachers are environmentally conscious and would treat the area respectfully.
Please take a few minutes to enjoy the relaxing setting at the cache site. Also, please, re-hide the cache so it can't be seen by non-cachers.
