Near the top of Veazie Mountain in the Sawyer Mountain Highlands Francis Small Heritage Trust.
Easy parking is located at N43 45.134 W070 43.765 where you can get a map of the Sawyer Mountain Highlands. There are a couple of trails that take you close to the summit of Veazie Mountain, but none that get you all the way to the top -- some off trail hiking is required. The cache (ammo box) is located about 0.5 miles (the way the crow flies) from the parking area, the elevation gain is about 500 feet. There are views through the trees to the east and south from the top if you look around.
The parking area is also good for access to the Sawyer Mountain Cache.
