Geocache Description:

This is the ninth in a new series called “cache to Eagle” which highlight Eagle Service Projects by the Boy Scouts of Marin Council. This is an easy hide, good for beginners.

Earn the Cache to Eagle patch! See www.geoscouting.com to learn how.

The Photo highlights the Eagle Project site and may or may not include the location of the actual cache, although it will be nearby.

I first came to this nice little dog park in search of the other cache nearby. I have since learned that a Boy Scout from Troop 42 planted 28 trees and provided support and mulch for each, as well as spreading mulch over much of the park. In addition, trenches for subsequent drip irrigation systems were dug.

Scouting provides a tremendous number of service hours to the community. If you took the total hours of community service conducted by the Marin Council in one year and assigned that to a single individual working 40 hours a week…how long would it take them to accomplish the same amount of service? Answer: 18.95 years!
