Tourist Park... But all are welcome...
This is a small cache located in the Tourist Park. Of course it’s open to locals also. There has been some beaver activity on the river in this area, as you will see. Lots of small trees are down and you will see their food cache. Beavers cache their food supply of branches and logs in the water, near a lodge or bank burrow. My Thanks to Greg, Di & Max for the great information about beavers, check out their logged visit for this cache.
Just down the river you can pickup the Rivers Edge Trail for a great walk down the river or take the trail over to the West Bank Park using the old railroad trestle that has been converted to part of the trail, where it also continues down river. You can find an interesting cache located there also. Or you can go up the river on a very nice walk also picking up the trail that will take you to Oddfellow Park and yet another cache location there. No matter what part of the trail you take it’s all easy walking.
As this is a small cache I have placed only lapel pins in it and ask that you limit your trading to the same or similar items, otherwise I hope you enjoy the hunt.
The cache has a Log Book, Pencil, Sharpener, and Geocaching Statement.
