Happy Holidays fellow geocachers. This cache is currently unavailable, due to the snow, but it will give you time to solve the puzzle.

Cache is NOT at the posted coordinates

Veni, Vidi, Vici. These are the words issued by Julius Caesar to the Roman Senate describing his victory over Pharnaces II, King of Pontus, in 47 B.C. Translated from Latin, this phrase means "I came, I saw, I conquered" which sums up the 3 geocaches I placed up in this area. This is the first - "I came".

The posted coordinates are for the general parking area for this cache (and also the VIDI and VICI caches). The parking area can be accessed by driving to the north end of Sunningdale and taking the road that leads up to the Trail Water Tank. There is a gate at the beginning of this road that is closed from 8 PM till 7 AM. There are many roads/trails located past the water tank, but only one of them will take you to the parking area. Four wheel drive isn't necessary, although a little clearance is helpful. My little Ford Ranger made it easily in 2WD. The cache is 150 meters from the parking coordinates.

The higher difficulty rating refers to obtaining the geocache coordinates - which can be found contained within the black square below.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

Cache is a small round (3"diameter) Lock'n'lock container, containing a pencil, logsheet and some very small trading items.

This series of caches has been bugging me for months now...
I made a spectacularly unsuccessful attempt at this series back in June (some of the area cachers will remember the phone calls...thanks and sorry to bushbaby, Mrs. winz_53, K4C, and GI), so it was definitely time to get it off my list of "to-do"s. I convinced bushbaby_444 to come with me, and his vehicle made it all the way to the parking area. Took no time at all to find this cache, and then it was off into the bush...

Drove most of the way up, but still a good hike towards the end. TFTC. T-nothing, L-sharpened pencil and a Tommy Moe pin.

This was our first in what was to be the veni, vedi vici. Well we found veni but after climbing up rock cliffs and down scree slides, and then to run into a bear .3 k from gg .14 k of Vedi. It was a good day anyway. Thanks.

I didn't bother logging my first attempt at this cache back on March 26th because it was such a feeble attempt. We would not have made it up to the cache as there was way to much snow to drive up here 3 weeks ago. Today was a nice day and great weather, drove as far as we could then walked to the cache. Thanks for a nice hike Z. Sl took a pirates pathtag and left a loonie. I forgot my swag back at the truck.
