Passing Time Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Heartland Cacher: Greetings from Geocaching.com I'm Heartland Cacher, one of the volunteer reviewers for new caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses from the Cache Owner about maintaining this cache which makes it appear the Cache Owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain the cache. Cache maintenance includes listing maintenance including updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing. The cache will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. Should the owner decide to maintain the cache in the near future (30 days), just contact me (by email including the GCXXX and Cache Name), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

Thanks for your understanding,
Heartland Cacher

Geocache Description:

Located in the Paradise Valley/Robertson Road Fishing easement

This is yet another cache placed along the North Platte River. The area is in a little used fishing access tract that Wyoming Game & Fish purchased for public use. The parking area is immediately East of Robertson Road, about halfway between Poison Spider Road and Highway 220. It is much easier to see the turnoff while travelling southbound on Robertson Road.

There is a map located at the parking area showing the fishing easement going about 3/4 of a mile downstream of the parking area to just about the far north bend of the river in Paradise Valley. The easement is only within 50 feet of the high water mark, so please stay close to the river while making your way to the cache. Yes, the vegetation is a bit thick in places and there is a livestock containment fence alongside the river, so please be careful if travelling with little ones. The terrain is marked accordingly - although perhaps the easiest way to reach the cache is by floating the river (very popular in the summer.) This cache is designed to be accessible both by hiking in or by floating in. Pay attention to the cache attributes - this is not a park and grab!

Once at the cache location, if you brought your fly rod - test the waters! This area is not as heavily fished as most of the other accessible parts of the river in town. With any luck, you might come away with a smilie AND dinner.

The container is a olive drab decon box containing several small items and starting out with a sportsman themed travel bug.
