Located on Templin Hwy
Last summer I took my 12 year old and 10 year old sons out geocaching along the old Ridge Route and Templin Hwy. Cache Clown had to work that day so it was just me and the kids. While my kids were looking for the cache "Tank View" (just a short distance from this cache) I, for no apparent reason, decided to pick up this large old guard rail bolt. Just after I picked it up this crazy lady parked up on the road next to us and walked down by where we were looking for the cache. She was dressed in high heels, shorts and a tank top, near old Ridge Route off of Templin????????? Anyway, she starting talking about how she was trying to get away from a crazy boyfriend and how she got out of prison in 2004. She wanted my phone number so she could call and talk to me some more. Let me tell you I held onto that guard rail bolt until me and the kids got back in the car and got the heck out of there.

The idea for this cache is to be CAREFUL when you are in remote areas geocaching by yourself or with small children. I once read another log of a cacher who had her car broken into while caching off of Soledad by the mines. You never know who you will run into out there!!! This cache is dedicated to the "crazy lady".

Found it before I fired up the GPS, cleverly disguised. Made aSwap and headed down the road. TFTC!

Spent the day learning how to use my new Dakato 20 for caching. Interface much different that my trusty CSX. Now if I could only figure out the field log part I'll be rock'n thanks for the cache and the place to practice

Enjoyed all the caches in the Templin highway, Ridge Route, and Castaic areas today. They made for a great caching run! What an awesome hide! This was the first of this kind of construction we've seen. Thanks for the amusing story as well - it was good for a laugh! TNLN-SL TFTC
