The next stop going north along the trail is off the trail a bit
more, into the hardwoods.
Hickory Hills is a beautiful area of terminal morraine, dotted by
kettle lakes, hills and valleys and mixed hardwood forest. Chippewa
County has built a wide cross country ski trail through the forest,
as well as smaller trails for mountain bikes and snow
shoeing.
