One of the booklet’s suggestions was that you create an inner refuge using doors!
The Royal Ordnance Corp, by contrast, would take refuge in purpose built shelters like the one found here. (Well someone had to be around to tell us when to come out from under our doors!!)
The Cardonald bunker is owned by Ward & Caroline Westwater who have restored the post with much of its original equipment. All the furniture including twin bunks is in place. Apart from the furniture no equipment is kept inside the post and is only brought to site when the post is manned.

You should park by the roadside at about N55 51.625 W4 20.836 then use the pedestrian lights to cross. This is a really busy junction and a fast dual carriageway, so please wait for the wee green man!
The bunker is situated on the edge of Cardonald Park and you do not need to enter the bunker area to get the cache.
