Geocache Description:

HI THERE!! I hope we can meet some new cachers at this Last Chance Event. This is our first event :-)

I'm creating this even because I havent been able to make it to any local events by my home base. (Broward County)

So here we are on our road trip in the Keys!

Curry Hammock State Park

Hours:

Park hours are 8:00 a.m. to sunset, 365 days a year.

Fees:

Fee Schedule

Admission Fee:

$5.00* per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.

$2.00* Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

$4.00* Single-occupant vehicle or motorcycle.

* Plus $.50 per person Monroe County Surcharge.

Camping Fees:

$36.00 per night, plus tax, plus a non-refundable $6.70 reservation fee. Includes water and electricity.

Florida residents who are 65 years of age or older or who hold a social security disability award certificate or a 100 percent disability award certificate from the Federal Government are permitted to receive a 50 percent discount on current base campsite fees. Proof of eligibility

So the game plan it to meet up at The Public Parking area of Curry Hammock State Park at 10 am. We will have coffee and snacks. We

will wait unitl 11:00 or so and we can head out for some caches. or we could head out for some kayacking. We are kinda playing this one by ear. There are kayacks avaliable for a rental fee. THERE IS A FEE TO ENTER THE PARK. Im making a list of some of the most favorited caches in the area if we end up doing some hunting!

Attening the event at 10 am is the only requirement for logging an Attend.

Hope to meet some new caching buddies and maybe meet some locals to hang with!
