Dover Rover

(World Traveler 2)

According to the design specifications, this one is easier than World Traveler 1.  This time, you will be visiting towns named Dover located around the world.  The 10 items in the list below will get you to each of the towns.  Upon arrival, your job will be to identify a photo taken at that town.  The photos follow the list below, and are not in the same order.  When you identify the photo associated with each town, note the number next to the photo and assign it to that letter (A through J).  The numbers for A through J will then complete the needed coordinates.

Note that some of the photos are from a satellite and some are from Street View.  Be sure to check out the Google Earth notes at the end of the listing.  If needed, please use Wikipedia to ensure a match with my data.

Hint:  To travel quickly and easily to each Dover, copy and paste the the names (such as "Dover, Delaware") into the "Fly to" box in Google Earth.  Since images in Google Earth are updated from time to time, it may be necessary to open an earlier version of the view that is initially displayed.  Check the "Imagery Date" field in the bottom left corner of the image and make sure it matches the one listed below for each site.  If not, try clicking on the earlier image date that does match.

The atrocious poetry should help you zero in on your target within each town.

There are many Dover towns I didn't use.  Several are, to put it bluntly, extremely boring places (at least from a Google Earth perspective).  I spent several  hours scouring both the aerial and land images of these towns and just couldn't find anything of particular interest.  We are very lucky to be living in a more vibrant and varied area.  Also, there are enormous differences in the quality of images.  The ones in England, as with many European towns, are stunning.
