There are as many as 120 species of puffer fish (also called blowfish, globefish and fugu) - 38 of them found in Japan. They come in different sizes from the tiny Valentine Puffer to the larger Star Puffer. They are so called because they inflate themselves with water or air when threatened, making it difficult for a predator to swallow them.

The ovaries, skin, muscles, and mainly the liver contain a deadly poison (tetrodotoxin) for which there is no known antidote. Yet, fugu has been eaten in China for thousands of years, and in Japan for hundreds of years. Tetrodotoxin is so deadly, a single milligram can kill a full-sized adult. That amount would fit on the head of a pin. It's over 1200 times more deadly than cyanide.

While tetrodotoxin poisoning is rare in the U.S., a 1996 report in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) documents 3 cases of tetrodotoxin toxicity from persons ingesting contaminated fugu imported by a coworker from Japan. In Japan, approximately 50 deaths may occur each year from tetrodotoxin poisoning.

A Vancouver bio-tech company has developed a drug from tetrodotoxin that is more than 3000 times stronger than morphine. And, it's non-addictive and non-mind or mood altering. It is a highly effective pain killer.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. To find this cache, you will need to determine the coordinates from the information provided in the paragraphs above. It's an ammo can, and it contains some upgraded swag, a log book, and a $5 gift card to a local smoothie establishment. Please re-hide better than you find it. Apparently, this park has a bit of a muggle problem.

Owing to the lack of activity on this cache, I'm un-obfuscating the information that is required to solve:

Wow! Like most other finders of this particular cache, we search and search and searched some more. Not one to give up on this particular hide, we decided to take a rest. Once our heads stopped spinning and the GPSr stopped bouncing, we ended right back where we thought it was in the first place. The Mr. looked at the Mrs and said "It's supposed to be right here!", and no sooner was it said that I essentially tripped over it.

Another puzzle we can put to rest! Left a geocoin for the next desperate soul AND a pufferfish eraser thingy that we just happened to pull from our previous find for the day. An appropriate coincidence TN SL Thx for the hide, the Nomad.

Wow, this cache has pretty much been the closest cache to my house since I started geocaching.
I have had it on my watch list for over as year as well. Once in a while,
I would drift over to the page, and search for clues to no avail.
The other day, after scouring for clues, I found something that worked.
Alas, The coordinates were finally, and unmistakably there.

After waiting until the weekend, and a spring-like windy day, we took a walk in the park.
Lisa and T waited at the edge of the woods while I trekked on through the muck.
Actually I don't think the terrain is half as bad as it could be, but it was still pretty muddy.
Took me about 20 minutes walking back and forth, and my name was periodically called from the edge of the woods.
Finally, as I was about to give up and I was yelling, I'm on my way out, I poked it randomly with a vine I was holding.
This is a nice big ammo can, unfortunately it was pretty soaked inside. Due to my proximity, I might actually come back and clean it up myself. For now I took the geocoin, and rehid the box where it was found. TFTC TheNomad, I'm glad to get rid of that question mark.

After a year of haveing this one show up every once in a while, I sat down during a day off for being sick and dedicated my time to this puzzle. Finally surrendering for the night I went to bed and during the night it hit like a flash. Upon awakining, I went to the computer. acted upon my revolation and within 15 minutes, I had the coords in my hands. Later that day on another trip to the doctor, I was sent for e-xrays and realized I was only just over a mile from the GZ. while waiting to hear from the doctor, I went in for the final. Just as wifey and I were making the grab, the phone rang, it was the doctor telling wifey I had suffered at least one broken rib from a previous coughing spazem and I should not be on my feet, no lifting, no twisting. no bending and absolutely no coughing. I made the grab, signed the log, went to the car and passed out in agony! This one is finally complete! TFTH Good job on the puzzle. Took nothing, left half a lung!

Bummer. Wished I lived closer so I could make a return trip. Time was not on my side and I had to throw in the towel and move on. I really hope I make it back here again someday.

Went searching again for this one. Last time I got attacked by a killer bush, this time I managed to avoid any lethal trees. Found this one literally only seconds after reaching GZ. Don't have a clue why it was so illusive the first time through.
TNLNSL Thanks for the cache and the fun puzzle.
