Back in the late 70's and early 80's when computers cost a mint, how could a teenager with little cash get one? My friends and I used to go dumpster diving every Saturday before the garbage trucks came. Oh, the wonderful things we found! I was amazing how much was thrown out back then. Commodore was our favorite, and we built many complete systems from the PET, CBM and VIC20 series (some one of a kind configurations), and learned much that we wouldn't otherwise have. All three of these are long gone or merged into oblivion.
First stop is Commodore: find the old location of the dumpster, then go around to the front of the building and find the address. It will be ABCD.

Second stop is Cromemco: N 37° 23.26 W 122° 03.16 We never found much here, but what we did was cool. The address here will be EFG.
Here's a short history of Cromemco: www-db.stanford.edu/pub/voy/museum/CROMEMCO.html
The third stop is Atari. N 37° 24.36 W 122° 01.29 This was one of the production areas. They threw out so much that we just ignored them after a while. Most of it was true junk... The address here is HIJK.
Once you've collected everything, the final cache location can be found at:
N 37° EA.695 W 122° GJ.H43
The original cache vanished shortly after the original log vanished. Since the original site had been used as a restroom by somebody, I decided to move it.
I've replaced the cache again, the coords are the same, but the cache is now a micro; please bring a pen because I forgot to put one in the cache.
Since the Atari location has been totally paved and built over, and the old address can no longer be found online, here are some hints: H=1, J=4 Please let me know if this doesn't work as I found the numbers on a really old Mac, and I'm not sure if I changed the puzzle afterword.
