The third in an ongoing series of caches placed near bodies of water in the Hat City. We plan on expanding this series over the next several months.
Long before Danbury was the Hat City, it was known as Swampfield.
Congrats to King Rason & Armed Infant on co-FTF this cache!
5/7/12 : Cache was moved slightly due to an abundance of poison ivy, new location is: N 41* 22.952 W 073* 29.841
The Still River flows out of New York State, out of 2 ponds, east of the Connecticut/New York border just north of Route 6 (Mill Plain Road). The river then flows east, into Danbury, running under Mill Plain Road and into Lake Kenosia, which itself is part of the Still River. From Lake Kenosia, the River discharges through Mill Plain Swamp, past the Danbury Fair Mall, and into the center of Danbury.
Parking is available at a small boat launch across from the cache, on Lake Kenosia.
Cache is a bison tube covered in camouflage duct tape. Bring your own pen, you shouldn't need tweezers, but they might come in handy.
Extreme stealth is recommended, please be cautious when when crossing to the cache, this stretch of road can be very busy! When opening the cache, please unscrew the bottom leaving the top in place, replace the log into the top whenever possible. This can be considered somewhat of a P&G, please CITO if you can!
