Geocache Description:

A fairly easy walk along an old trackway. Very muddy in places in wet weather

Jagger Lane is an ancient Packhorse Track, and is one of the oldest paths in Richmondshire. It was used for centuries to carry salt, lead, and coal between Durham and Wensleydale. "Jagger" is an old word for a pack pony. The track crosses Hartforth Beck by a very ornate bridge.
