Tsmola: Went by today, gates are closed still, perhaps for the winter. Gonna archive this one and open the spot up for others. If no one else hides one there, I'll put something new on the island after deer season. Didn't want this to sit disabled while I was out deer hunting for most of the rest of the year.

Geocache Description:

Nice easy little cache on Maple Island in Paw Paw.

It seemed a shame this island had no cache on it. I know it did in the past but it got muggled. Because of this, this cache is a near muggle-proof nano. This cache is more about taking you to the island and the nice park than it is about the hide.

Cache is kid-friendly, although I know a lot of kids don't like micros, they should like this one's location. BYOP and watch out for the geese that are nesting nearby, don't disturb them!

Note: cache is winter friendly, but the gates to the bridge are locked in winter, so if you are going after this one in winter, you'll need a boat, I do NOT reccomend jumping the gate or trying to walk across ice to get there.

Park at: N 42 13.835 W085 53.070 and walk across the street to the bridge to the island.
