Geocache Description:

Coordinated local event to coincide with the 13th annual Geocaching World Wide Flash Mob.

Come join us and be part of the coordinated World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM) XIII event Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 12:00/Noon. This event is synchronized with other events worldwide. WWFM are a fun and friendly way to get together with geocachers, promote geocaching and joining in spirit with other geocachers world-wide!

Do you know somebody new to geocaching? Make sure to invite them to our local event. What better way to help and encourage those who are early in their caching then by sharing your knowledge. To show how much fun we have. Maybe even share your favorite “there I was” caching story.

Over thirteen thousand geocachers met at 389 events in more than 40 different countries last year. This year will be no different. All will be gathering at the same time! There should be even more events world-wide this year with even more participants.

Due to changes in Geocaching.com event guidelines published in February of 2015, all events are now required to last a minimum of 30 minutes. This year's event will be held from 12:00 to 12:30. With all that in mind we (the better half and I) decided we needed a theme to accompany our local event. It is not required on your part as a participant of this WWFM event, but if you want, bring cookies to share. Why not stand around and toast ourselves and other cachers with cookies? Maybe if we have extra we can share with others (muggles) at this location during the event. It might be an incentive for them to investigate caching. Give it some thought.

We hope to see you for this event!

One last note:  Unfortunately there will NOT be an official geocaching.com souvenir for the 2016 event. Regardless, we hope to see you there.
