Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the listed coordinates.

This is the first of a series of mystery caches where knowledge of the humanities will be needed to locate and find the caches. The series is based on a similar series by The Weasel on outdoor knowledge.

During much of my childhood I was kept indoors to protect my health. I had a sibling die from the same disease I was diagnosed with and so my parents were very protective of my fragile health. So while my friends played hide and seek, I stayed indoors and read books.

Below you will find the opening line of a well-known piece of literature. You may have read many of these books in school. Most people have at least heard of most of these books. You will need to find the source of the opening line and convert the answers to numbers to find the final coordinates for the cache. (A=1, B=2, et al) The trick is that I have rewritten, summarized, or in other ways, altered the line. You will need to somehow identify the line through logic, by research, and with general knowledge. Have fun.
