Geocache Description:

Located in Mono Cliffs Provincial Park in the scenic Hockley Valley district. In the Coupar-Angus tradition so expect some walking (and maybe pack a lunch)

This is a six-step multi cache in what has become one of my favourite areas. The coordinates above are bogus and not part of any stage in the cache - they just happen to be in the general area. You may park at N44 01.693 W80 04.100 or N44 02.425 W80 04.555 or if you prefer Pay & Display parking at N44 02.806 W80 03.734

Here are the stages:

Birdhouse! N44 03.324 W80 04.793
At this location you will find a three-digit number. Actually, you'll find a few 3 digit numbers thanks to some jolly joker. You'll know you have the right one because the digits when juggled around are the same as a toll highway in the province. :) Just use the numbers as you see them and they will become A B & C

Big Old Pipes! N44 02.817 W80 04.806
Count the number of pipes at this location and the answer will be D (Hint, this will be an even number, so if you find an odd number of pipes keep looking).

Artesian Well! N44 01.770 W80 04.268
The rock pyramid at the artesian well has been removed. Hopefully they'll put it back soon. Nonetheless, this well spills into the nearby lake. On this lake there are a number of wooden benches. The number of benches is E

The Stairs! N44 02.965 W80 04.724
Descend the stairs and find the two digit number at the end of the walkway on the placard. These will be F & G

The Boulders! N44 02.916 W80 04.664
How many boulders do you see? H

Use this formula to get the coordinates of the Final. N44 A F . E F H+1 W080 A G+4.D C+E B-2
(I did it this way to make it easy to calculate on the fly.)

I would *suggest* starting with the Artesian Well regardless of where you park. You are going to be walking about 10km unless you cheat a little. :) This is a very mountain bikeable trail system and I would recommend biking it to find the cache, although not necessarily in the winter. You'll have to dismount a couple of times, but certainly no more than that. The final stage is in what I think is a rather obvious location and is covered with dead flora & earth. Squeakieboots (3 years old) helped me stash this one and didn't complain once about the length of the hike.

Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy!!

Cheers!
Coupar-Angus
