This is a traditional New England style cache in the Crocker
Conservation Area in Fitchburg, MA. The walk to the cache is flat
and very wide from the listed parking coordinates. There are great
views of the Overlook Reservoir and surroundings. It is a great
family cache in a non-hunting area.
The cache is a standard green ammo can filled with goodies. The
First-to-find cacher (fitzfive) received a Spinning geocoin for
there find. In addition, there were carabiners, an LED flashlight,
a small clip-on watch compass, and other items.
Please, no Mctoys and junk.
Please respect the cache location and leave it as it was or
better than you found it.

[view this log] | September 13 by dafyole (132 found) I took a friend out on this beautiful bug-free day for his first geo-trek in an area almost in his backyard. I coached him in how to use the GPSr, where to look once at GZ, and what kind of containers we were looking for, and then turned him loose as I followed along. We took a loop course around Overlook Resevoir with the intent of picking off up to six caches along the route. We ended up taking 4 out of 6 and I actually spotted 3 out 4 first, but said nothing to him and let him make the finds in his own time. As an added bonus we ran into another cacher (Hi again MJ!) passing in the opposite direction on the trail and introductions were made all around. We chatted briefly - gave each other no extra clues at all - and then went our separate ways once more. MJ told us he had found all the caches in the direction we were heading, so we went off very optimistic - but failed to find 2 that he had claimed just minutes earlier. My friend had a good time - he is an avid hiker, but adapted well to the hike and look, hike and look of geocaching pretty well, and I think he might have caught the geo-bug. TN, left a small caribiner, TFTC!
[view this log] | September 2 by diamond-01581 (1069 found) Out and about on a beautiful day - the kind where you wish every day was like this. Had been hiking here with a group earlier in the day, but after that walk, went back to find a few more caches. Took geocoin. TFTF
