South West side of Mt. Doug
The Cache is hidden part way down the Southwest side of Mt. Douglas. You can drive right to the top, so we made it a bit harder to get to than just a stroll in the woods. The summit is at 760 feet, and the cache is at 620 feet. Cache contains some trinkets, our trademark Mill Bay ferry ticket, and "Centipede" the Travel Bug. GPS coverage is very good......
While you are at the top of Mt. Doug, if you would like to test the acuracy of your GPS there is a survey monument right beside the Summit Lookout. The location of this monument is:
48, 29, 35.05139 North 123, 20, 48.28241 West.
That location is accurate plus or minus 1 centemeter.
