Rock Lake Traditional Geocache
3jaze: Cache has had a good run. Thanks to all seekers including the cowboy (no GPS)who was just rounding up calves and came across the the cache and was kind enough to replace it as found. This is the first ammo can that had it integrity compromised.
Now it's your turn to get a cache placed here.

Located north west of Brooks, this cache is found on Eastern Irrigation District land. It is one of a network of impoundments intended to keep the arid southern Alberta region an economically viable agricultural producer. The most recent structure was constructed in the mid 1980’s.
Part of the challenge of this cache is finding the correct roads to the coordinates but an east approach is the best. Please do not go off of the established EID trails (ie don’t drive across the prairie). Once on location, the car trail could pose some difficulty to low slung vehicles. Just take it slow and easy. I wouldn’t attempt it after a recent rainfall or snowfall. Bring your fishing rod; pike is for the caching…er…catching. Try your luck off the dam on the east end.
The ‘cache in a can’ contains cachenote, logbook, pencils, sharpener, the coveted First to Find Card (and a few others) plus an assortment of trade items.
Good luck. Happy Hunting
