Geocache Description:

Lovely Florida Island in the Sun. Terrain 2, Difficulty 2. Altitude approx. sea level

You can reach this cache by land or sea. It is a beautiful view either way. If you approach by land, please use the public access ways and avoid private property.

Once you arrive you will enjoy the view of the Gulf of Mexico to the West, and Tampa Bay to the North. There are burrs everywhere so be careful and wear shoes. Hopefully you will see a few crabs running about and hiding while you visit.

There are beautiful dunes and sea oats throughout this lovely area. Please be careful not to disturb them. You will also enjoy the beautiful homes near the water in this area.

We started the cache with a Yomega Firestorm YoYo, a tape measurer, a Run the Reagan Half Marathon Medal for 2001 and a Killer Whale Beanie Baby.

We hope you enjoy our cache, this is our first. We will look forward to your comments.

Twin Scavengers AUGUST 6, 2003 UPDATE This cache is now in a precarious position due to natural forces. The weather and currents have had a significant impact on the dunes in this lovely area. The dunes are quite a bit lower and the water level has moved in approx. 80 - 100 feet so that the cache is now very close to the incoming waves. This particular area of the island has always been subjected to these forces of nature and the landscape is constantly changing. Enjoy this cache while we can.
