How Geocaching Works
This cache container has quite a story. First hidden on May 19, 2004 and entitled "7 of 7 SaidCache Adventure" (GCJFV5) this container has been MIA for about 6-1/2 years!
The original cache was placed near Lakewood Corner, south of Rock Rapids, IA. It was found 9 times in just over a year, when it was swept away in a Rock River flood and archived June 29, 2005. It was found November 18, 2011 in a pasture southwest of Rock Valley, over 20 miles from it's original location! The original log and all the contents from 2005 were dry and in perfect condition. I left the original log in the container so there will be two FTFs on the log. I also left all the trade items in the container plus added some.
This location has a bit of history too.......it was once the site of a one room country school.
This is one of the most amazing cache stories I have come across and I am glad to put this one back in service. Have fun finding this one! :-)
