Railway siding, a short walk from a well made gravel road.

This cache is located at an old railway siding that was used for the loading of grain, on the Cummins - Buckleboo line, between Ungarra and Cummins.

As with most areas, this little siding has been made redundant with rationalisation of the rail system and advances in road transport from when it was first established.

Please note the line itself is now being used again (although not the siding), so use care and keep attention for the possibility of trains.

Lucky I knew what a dog was so it didn't bite me. Great spot and am fairly sure this operational again the line looks very polished. TNLN TFTC

Got close to this one and crossed the line to find the cache.
I believe this line is now being used.
There was lots of indcation of work being done and the rail crossing back at the road clearly showed wear when a train had passed through. All the signage has been refreshed at the crossings and rail repair work is evident.
Be careful we dont want to lose a cacher to a train.
