Hartsholme Park
and Swanholme Lakes

After two successful CITO
Events Rangers at Lincoln's Hartsholme Park, have invited
Geocachers back for a repeat performance.
The Rangers of the beautiful
Hartsholme Country Park and Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve (a
SSSI) will be preparing
for the busy springtime visitors and have requested our help for
about 3 hours. Starting at 09.30am on a selected task within either
the park or reserve.
TASK
Litter picking around the lake
and Country Park as directed by the Rangers.
LIMITED
NUMBERS
40 Maximum people
On a first come first served
basis.
If you wish to attend, you
must indicate how many in your group will be there i.e. (four in
party) etc on your, “I will attend log”.
If no note is added, then we
will assume its just one person. don't forget if your a couple
(that's 2 of you). Due to certain restraints by the park, this
limit will be enforced.
Anyone, booked in will
get a email to confirm your/their places.
Anyone who turns up on the day
without conformation of place will unfortunately be unable to
participate under insurance guidelines with the
Park.
PERSONAL PROTECTION
EQUIPMENT
Please wear suitable clothing
for working outside in scrubland.
Wet weather gear may be
necessary as the event will take place even if it rains or
snows.
Bring with you, suitable
footwear, i.e. Steel toe cap boots or Wellingtons, hike boots or
solid shoes. Training shoes will be unsuitable and you may be asked
not to take part.
Gloves will be a "must bring
item"
INSURANCE
All attendees registered will
be covered by insurance, provided they stay within the guidelines
of the risk assessment by the Park Rangers.

CHILDREN
Permitted only on the
following arrangement.
All children must be over 10
years old.
Under adult supervision, with
the ratio of two adults, to one child. This is due to the vast
water areas around the park and subsequently the dangers that may
arise from them
DISABLED
PERSONS
Disabled Persons are welcome, but please
email The Imp via the link below as soon as possible, so we can
arrange suitable work for you.
DOGS
Although dogs are permitted on
the park, during the CITO dogs will not be
permitted.
FACILITIES ON
SITE
Toilets including disabled
facilities are available.
There is also a cafe serving
hot drinks and light snacks.
PARKING
If you’re on time you
should be able to park in the main car park.
If full, drive out of the
Country Park and turn right. Then take the first right about
300 yards away park within the estate.
MEETING POINT
Please meet outside the
visitors centre (see waymark) between 09.00 and 09.15
a.m.
CAMPING
SITE
The Country
Park has it's own Caravan and Camping Site with full facilities.
Advance booking is required and charges are at their usual prices.
