Geocache Description:

This cache is the traditional small cache placed in conjunction with the 09-09-09 Multi Event: New York (GC1VR40)

This was one of our favorite parks to visit when we lived downtown, and we thought it would be the perfect location for our first hide. It also seems fitting that our first hide is part of the 09-09-09 Multi Event: New York (GC1VR40), since the event is being sponsored by Vanelle, who got us hooked on geocaching in the first place.
You are looking for a decon container hidden in a traditional way. Once you arrive at the park, the cache title should make sense. Nothing tricky to this one. Please take time to enjoy the park while you are here.

The cache contains appropriately-themed items including something for FTF.

10-09-10: We've converted this to a micro. You are now looking for a 35-mm film canister.

06-15-11: Still a 35-mm film canister, but we have relocated slightly. We hoped to get this back up sooner, but there has been some construction and landscaping going on, so we wanted to wait until that was completed. The new spot is more secluded but hopefully not too hard to find. Please only pull out the film canister if possible and replace it back in its "nest".

5-9-14: Back to a decon container and a bit lower than the previous spot. Should make it easier to locate but not necessarily easier to retrieve.

4-9-15: Back to a micro. BYOP. Same location as the previous decon container. You are now looking for a black bison tube. Hoping this one will stay in play a little longer.
