Geocache Description:

Very famous waterfall in the Tohoku region in Miyagi Ken. One of the best in Japan.

This waterfall Fudotaki is one of the top three waterfalls in Japan. Located 45 minutes away from Zao city by car. There are two wonderful waterfalls in this area about 20 minutes apart. I encourage you to visit both of them. This waterfall is 150 ft tall and is 40 feet in width.

Also close within an hour drive is Sankaitaki. Rated in the top three of Japan's best waterfalls.

***This cache will require the geocacher to scale a mountain slope on the side of the waterfall. The cacher should climb the slope in a crawling position to ensure they do not slip. If the cacher unfortunately slips the water is only a couple feet deep at the bottom of the slope and very far away from the raging waterfall. Once up the slope the cacher has a flat surface to stand upon to safely gaze at the waterfall up close. DO NOT FOOL AROUND AT THE TOP OF THIS WATERFALL. IT COULD BE DANGEROUS IF THE CACHER WERE TO FALL IN DUE TO SILLINESS. If properly respected this is not dangerous. To encourage only serious careful cachers I rated this a difficult 4 in terrain.
