A nice hike along the "City to Sea Bicycle Trail." Free parking can be found at the Avila Valley Railway Museum parking lot located at San Luis-Avila Road off Ontario Road in Avila Beach, California (N 35° 11.644, W 120° 41.917). Easy and fun for the whole family - bring a bike and make the trip quick.
Cache is hidden in a normal sized Rubbermaid box. The trail next to the cache is well traveled, so be stealthy when retreiving and replacing the box. Please replace the cache so it can't be easily seen from the path. Thanks and have fun. A note of caution: poison oak can be found growing back along this path. We chose this spot because it had no poison oak nearby, so you should be just fine, but always be careful. Cache originally contained dominos, a train whistle, playing cards, a ceramic book, Clifford toy, a commemorative coin, and a number of English coins.
