How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located close to a dirt pullout along a long straight section of US Highway 97 approximately 19 miles south of the Hwy. 138 Diamond Lake junction and 12 miles north of Collier Memorial State Park. The cache location provides 24 hour off highway parking for most vehicles, season and weather permitting (no off highway parking for big rigs).

The cache is a watertight match container tucked in a notch of what was once two but today only one remains. This area gets lots of use in the warmer months of the year so please be sure the container is covered better when you leave then when you found it.

If you have the spare room this area is a great candidate for the Cache in Trash Out program. I always try to pick up a couple pieces the litterbugs have discarded. Just be careful what you’re picking up.

Bring your own writing utensil.
