November ACT cachers lunch

In September 2009 we had a “Claytons event” lunch, it was followed in October 2009 by our first official event lunch ( GC1YN5H ) both were a great success.

So here is the next ACT cachers lunch meeting. You can see the lead up to these events on the GCA forum.

http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13156

Wednesday the 4th of November we will meet at the cafe in the National Museum http://www.nma.gov.au/index.html

Sorry for the later notice, but I needed for the school holidays to be over so I could visit at lunch time to see if the place was packed out or not. (which was done today 19/10/09) Lunch time meals and snacks are available at very reasonable prices and there was plenty of room for a bunch of cachers. Parking for people with disabilities is available near the main entrance to the building. Disabled toilet facilities are provided.

Please meet inside the cafe at 12.15pm. The Cafe is in the main foyer and entry to the Museum is free. You could even consider doing the local caches? Event will run for approximately 1hr. Need cachers to record that you intend to attend so I can give numbers to the cafe.

While posting notes or intention to attend posts would you also please indicate if you would attend a Christmas dinner somewhere like Honey Suckle creek on the 4th of December… Would be BYO everything with the opportunity to stay the night and sleep it off….!

Thanks to the event organiser for reminding me that I hadn't logged my attendance at the conference, and the associated travel bugs

Thanks 0319 for organising these get togethers...was nice to catch up with people whose names we find in all the logs. As with some of the others, the hard part is attaching the "real" names to the geocaching names!
Thanks to everyone who grabbed a few trackables to move along...I can't believe how many there were!
Looking forward to the next lunch already :)

Great that this event was so close to work - it meant that I could linger longer than I might have otherwise!

Terrific chance to catch up and to meet some new faces. Really nice to get to meet Everlasting, finally met Mtbikeroz, Mrs Winglen, Captain Tomato and Rextrex - all very familiar names that I had yet to put faces to.

Of course, the problem now is trying to remember everyones REAL names - think I might have to write a list!

Well done O319 - I've really been enjoying these lunches and it's been a real boost to the local caching community!

Thanks!
