The South Kenosha County Bike Trail is located at 89th Street and 30th Avenue and heads south to the Illinois/Wisconsin State Line. The trail consists of approximately 14 miles of limestone path.
Of course, this was not always a walking/bike trail. Many years ago, it was the North Shore Railroad and provided speedy service for Chicago, Kenosha and Milwaukee travelers.
Please enjoy this cache. I lived in this area, nearly 40 years ago and took daily walks with my dog on this very same trail, carrying my shotgun. ‘course, you can’t bring your shotgun anymore, but it’s still a great place to bring your favorite, furry friend and get some exercise.
