How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Elev 470ft. Probably due to tree cover GPS accuracy at time of waymarking plus/minus 23ft.
The cache location is an easy woodland ramble.
The cache is on a track a few meters off the footpath which borders the Chesterton community angling clubs Burley Pool which is Private property and need not be trespassed upon.
The cache is not a regular container and blends in well with it's location. Close inspection will be required!

Ample parking is available at The Apedale visitor centre until dusk or off Apedale road.
The most preferable approach to this cache would be from the visitor centre or Apedale road.
The cache is situated along a track just off the footpath in the woodland and is not wheelchair accessible!
Sensible footwear is recommended as the area can be muddy in wet weather!
The area may be very busy in summer time so I suggest stealth is used as a priority!
If you find the cache please leave it exactly as you found it as I wish it to remain at least 2 or 3 seasons until requiring maintenance.
There is a small pencil with a waterproof paper logbook.

In summer when the tree canopy thickens GPS accuracy may be quite poor, to this end if requested I shall add a specific photographic spoiler.
There is already a good photographic hint and I believe this will be all that's needed.
Would finders please not photograph the cache or it's location as I want the experience for others to be intact. Photograph the log book or the near vicinity by all means!
