How Geocaching Works
On July 28, 2012, over 250 family members came from as far away as Alaska and London gathered to celebrate 125 years of the McCarty family in Sheldon, Iowa. Activities for the celebration included a group walk, tour of this cemetery where many ancestors are buried, visiting the 125 family farm and socializing and eating at the community center.
We thought Sheldon was getting a little low on caches, so we decided that this would be a great reason to add another cache to the area.
The cache is located next to the local cemetery. You should be able to just pull over on the side of the road to get this one. You do not need to enter the cemetery to retrieve the cache.
